Sept. 16, '77: The death of T. Rex's Marc Bolan

Today in 1977 T. Rex frontman Marc Bolan was killed in a one-car accident in Barnes, southwest London. His funeral was attended by David Bowie and Rod Stewart, and the car crash site has become a shrine to his memory, where fans leave tributes.
