The centennial of folk legend Pete Seeger's birth

American folk music pioneer Pete Seeger had a string of hit records during the early '50s with the Weavers, including their version of Lead Belly's "Goodnight, Irene," which topped the charts for 13 weeks in 1950. His best-known compositions include "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" (later a hit for the Kingston Trio and Johnny Rivers), "If I Had a Hammer" (a hit for Peter, Paul and Mary and Trini Lopez), and "Turn! Turn! Turn!" (a number one hit by the Byrds). Seeger would have turned 100 today, so we're featuring him on these channels.
