To call this era, the "Madonna Decade," is hardly an overstatement. She burst on the scene in '83 with "Borderline", and on April 22, 1989 Madonna started a three week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Like A Prayer', the singer's seventh US No.1, also a No.1 in the UK.
