In a newspaper experiment, Bell once played as an incognito busker at a Metro subway station in Washington, D.C. The experiment was videotaped on hidden camera; and of the more than one thousand people who passed by, seven stopped to listen to him, and one recognized him. After playing for nearly 45 minutes, Bell collected $32.17 (not counting the $20 from the guy who recognized him). The video led to a feature-length documentary, "Find Your Way: A Busker's Documentary."
