Country legend Waylon Jennings born today in 1937

He didn't get on that plane with Buddy Holly, and he went on to become a legend. Waylon Arnold Jennings was born June 15, 1937 (he died February 13, 2002), and was instrumental in the inception of outlaw country. He was "the balladeer" on TV's "The Dukes of Hazzard," and joined Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash in the country supergroup The Highwaymen.
