Remembering Olivia Newton-John

Olivia Newton-John grew up in Australia, the granddaughter of the Nobel Prize-winning physicist Max Born. She had an early go at English folk-pop stardom in the '60s. Her first hit was 1971's "If Not For You" -- a Bob Dylan cover. Newton-John's portrayal of Sandy in "Grease" made her a pop culture icon. Newton-John's star kept rising in the '80s with hits like "Physical," and she will be long admired for her courageous battle with cancer. We're featuring Olivia's music with these channels on the anniversary of her birth.
