On this day in 1964, The Beatles made their first appearance on The Ed Sullivan
Show. When the Beatles landed at New York’s JFK Airport two days earlier, they were met by hoards of reporters and screaming fans. It was hard to find anyone not glued to CBS that night, as 73 million Americans parked themselves in front of TV's everywhere to see the lads from Liverpool!
