50 years ago and now more than 50 million copies sold -- Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" hit record stores March 1st, 1973. The album was recorded between May 31, 1972 and February 9, 1973. Sessions took place at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road Studios). The band was assigned staff engineer Alan Parsons. The legacy of the album is heard vividly by its influence on all forms of modern rock.
