New today on AccuRadio:
Adult Alternative

To start listening to the great, free music on AccuRadio, just click on 30 formats in 30 days!any of the images at left.

All this month, we've been adding new channels of music at the rate of one per day. (Click here to see the channels we've added). Hope you've enjoyed it!

Today's final new channel for the month of September is "Adult Alternative" — great rock music from an adult perspective, mixing classic rock, modern rock, Americana, blues, and more. (To try click on the image at left.)

In case you missed them, our earlier new channels of the month included Metal: '80s Aggression (a haven for headbangers craving everything from early thrash to power metal to soaring fist-pounding anthems), '70s Country (Don Williams, Conway Twitty, Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings, and more!), R&B: The Nineties Sound (the biggest R&B stars of the 90s, like Aaliyah, Mary J., and Keith Sweat), Folk Classics (original American (and Canadian!) storytellers),Smooth Jazz Instrumentals (smooth jazz with no vocals added. Kenny G, Chris Botti, Brian Culbertson and many more), Trance (melodic, free-form... and hypnotic electronic music)...

And...
Blues (the music that crept out of the Mississippi Delta, got amplified in Chicago, and eventually gave birth to rock 'n roll), Jazz Fusion (a remarkable fusion of jazz fusion styles -- groove jazz, jazz-rock, world fusion, and modern day innovations), Broadway: Rodgers and Hammerstein, French Pop: Femmes (French melodies both sassy and sweet), Canadian Rock: English & French ( a cool combo of English- and French-language rock), R&B (a mix of classic soul, R&B, and today's hottest urban music artists), Fol k the best of classic and modern American folk music)...

And... '80s Country (from Alabama, The Judds, Reba, Willie, the Oak Ridge Boys, and more!), Christian Pop & Rock (Christian pop hits and Christian rock), Smooth Sax (smooth tones and grooves from Kenny G, Dave Koz, the Sax Pack and more), Chill (a style of electronica that features trippy, downtempo ambient grooves), Bluegrass, Canadian Pop: English & French (a blend of the best English- and French-language pop music), Christian Pop/Rock, 80s Hair Bands, Native American: Wide Playlist, and CMA 2008 Television Special (music from artists appearing on "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock." Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, Rodney Atkins, Faith Hill, Josh Turner, and more)...

And...
Covering All the Bassists (featuring great jazz bassists), Melodies & Memories (easy-listening pop favorites from the '50s and '60s, by artists like Doris Day and Johnny Mathis), Smooth Jazz, Alternative Now! (newer alternative rock than you'd hear on Modern Rock Classics), and French Pop. Feel free to try them all here. .

News
Thanks largely to the efforts of Congressman Jay Inslee (D-Wash) and his staff, the U.S. Congress (both houses) has passed the "Webcaster Settlement Act of 2008," which is a necessary step towards resolving the 18-month-old Internet radio royalty crisis. The bill is scheduled to go to President Bush for his signature shortly. The bill gives the record industry and webcasters a deadline of Feb. 15th of next year for negotiating a reasonable royalty deal. You can learn more at SaveNetRadio.org and "RAIN: Radio And Internet Newsletter." We'll continue to keep you appraised...and thanks for all your help in helping us keep Internet radio alive!
