Technical requirements
AccuRadio
works with Internet Explorer version 5.5 and higher, and new versions of Netscape (7.1 and higher). Firefox users will be prompted to install a small plugin upon channel launch to allow AccuRadio to work. Mac users need OS "Panther" or "Tiger"
(PowerPC or Intel) with all the latest updates installed: AccuRadio will work with Safari, Firefox, and Camino.

Having problems launching AccuRadio? The two most-likely problems are caused by pop-up blockers or your browser's security settings. Possible fixes are described here. (Answers to many other tech questions are in our FAQ.)

AccuRadio's Summer Feature channels still available, all summer long

As long as summer's still here, you can still enjoy our Summer Feature channels. To celebrate summer, we recently launched several specially-made, "summer-flavored" channels, like "Summer Wind" (easy vocal classics), "Summer Heat" (the summer's hottest hits), and "Sea and Sand" (Caribbean and reggae). In addition, we also relaunched our classic indie rock channel, Vintage Violence, and three new Future Perfect Radio subchannels. All of these new channels are still available to you here. Just click a tile on the left and enjoy the sounds of summer!

News
After months of negotiation, Internet-only webcasters and the music industry have finally reached an agreement on royalty rates for the period of 2006-2015!

AccuRadio CEO Kurt Hanson played a lead role in the rate negotiations, working with representatives from other webcasters, including Pandora, Digitally Imported, and radioIO, and attorney David Oxenford. The deal will have AccuRadio paying about 14% of our revenues to SoundExchange, which represents record labels and recording artists, until we hit $1.25 million in annual revenues, 25% of our revenues in the following year after that, and a per-song, per-listener rate after that. (Additional details are available at www.kurthanson.com.)

Many AccuRadio listeners helped by calling or e-mailing their Congressmen regarding the issue, back when it looked as if we on the brink of extinction.

Thanks to everyone involved, from all of us at AccuRadio!
