Women's History Month: Janis Joplin

Janis' impact on music reverberates for generations on just 3 albums. Her 2nd solo album "Pearl" topped the album chart in January of 1971. Sadly, the milestone came 3 months after Janis' death. The record featured the classic singles "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Mercedes Benz". "Pearl" held the top spot for 9 weeks. We're featuring Janis on these channels today.
